Who these terms are with

These terms govern your use of ModMatch, the service provided at modmatchcars.com. “ModMatch”, “we” and “us” on this site all mean that service. Questions about these terms can be sent to the support address below.

What ModMatch does

You give ModMatch a photo of your car and a photo of a car whose look you like. ModMatch interprets both photos, proposes the modifications it can see, and — after you have reviewed that list — produces a build: a parts plan, plus an illustrative preview image of your own car with those changes applied.

ModMatch is a suggestion and visualisation service. It is not a garage, a fitting service, a parts retailer or an engineering authority.

Interpretation is not verification

• A car, year or version read from a photograph is a suggestion. It is never treated as established until you confirm it, and you may correct it.
• A preview image is an illustration. It is generated, it is not a photograph of a real finished car, and it is never evidence that a part fits.
• Where ModMatch cannot establish that a part fits your car, it says so or marks it to verify. An item marked to verify has not been confirmed as compatible.
• Before buying or fitting anything, confirm compatibility with the retailer or a qualified fitter. Legality, insurance, MOT and warranty consequences of modifying a vehicle are your responsibility.

Do not rely on a ModMatch suggestion or preview as proof that a part fits, is road legal, or is safe to fit.

Parts, prices and retailers

Part names and prices shown in a build describe products sold by third-party retailers. ModMatch does not sell, stock, ship or fit parts, takes no payment for them, and does not guarantee their price, availability, condition or quality. Those are matters between you and the retailer.

Your account and your trial

• You can start without an account. One free build is granted once when you first start, and requires no card.
• Signing in attaches the journey you already started to your account. It does not move your work to a different account and does not issue a second free build.
• If the email you sign in with already belongs to another ModMatch account, the two cannot be merged. Neither is changed.
• Keep your sign-in secure. Uploads are private to the account that made them, and we serve them only to that account.

Paying for additional builds

• Each additional build needs one build credit, priced at £4.99, as a one-time payment. Paddle shows you the full amount, including any tax that applies where you are, before you confirm. There is no subscription and nothing recurs.
• Paddle is the merchant of record for every paid ModMatch purchase. Paddle sells the build credit to you, takes the payment, accounts for any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issues your receipt. The charge may therefore appear as Paddle, rather than ModMatch, on your statement.
• Card details are entered on Paddle’s checkout and are never seen or stored by ModMatch. Paddle’s own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment and are shown to you at checkout.
• A credit is added only when we receive and verify the completed payment from Paddle. Closing the checkout window does not remove a payment that has already succeeded.
• A credit is reserved when a build is created and spent when its preview succeeds. If the preview fails, the credit remains with that build so it can be retried.

Acceptable use

• Upload photographs you have the right to use, and avoid including other people where you can.
• Do not upload unlawful, harmful or infringing images, and do not use ModMatch to impersonate anyone.
• Do not attempt to bypass payment, credit limits or usage limits, and do not automate, scrape or place disproportionate load on the service.
• Do not present ModMatch output as a professional compatibility, safety or engineering assessment.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules or that threatens the availability of the service for other people.

Your content

Your photographs remain yours. You give ModMatch permission to store and process them only to operate the service for you: to interpret them, to match parts, to generate your preview and to show your own work back to you. We do not publish them and do not sell them. See the Privacy notice for who processes them on our behalf.

Availability and limits

ModMatch is offered as it is and as it is available. It depends on third-party providers, and interpretation, matching and preview generation can fail or be unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular result, a particular appearance, or that a build will be produced for any specific car. Supported-car coverage is limited and changes over time.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Changes

We may change these terms as the service changes. The version on this page applies to your use of ModMatch. A change to pricing does not alter credits you have already bought.
